We have an unmissable opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly, longstanding team at Kingston Park Vets for Pets. This vacancy is within a practice that has been established for 11 years and prides itself not only on the care it provides but extending the welcoming atmosphere the North East is known for! 

With more than 440 small animal practices across the country, of all shapes and sizes, Vets for Pets is one of the largest UK veterinary groups and offers Veterinary Surgeons a range of opportunities, including the opportunity to run your own practice. However, what really makes vets for pets a unique opportunity is that it is run locally, allowing our local teams to support their local community. This will allow you to join a team that can support your individual needs while offering you a bespoke introduction to the practice, local community and caring for our patients! 

The practice is independently run, by husband-and-wife team Mark and Samantha, supported by a fantastic team, who are committed to delivering an outstanding level of service in the community and through this they have enables a real “proud to be part of the team” work ethos. 

This is a busy first opinion practice that has a very loyal client base, the practice is also fortunate to have the potential to look into new specialisms such as exotics, so this might be the perfect role if you are looking at following your interests in a practice that can offer you support and unlimited CPD funding for the right training. 

The practice has a real family feel and to reflect this the role can be full or part time to suit your needs or if you are wanting to just work school hours, this is also something we can discuss with you. The hours will be over a 6-day week Monday – Saturday (Mon – Friday 9 to 7, Saturday 9 – 6) with no Sunday work or OOH. Saturday work is based on a maximum of 1:3 Saturdays,

Along with unlimited CPD, flexible working and joining a fantastic practice you can also expect excellent nursing support as the rota is 1.5 – 2 nurses per vet with a 20-minute appointment time.
