Job Description

VETERINARY SURGEON – Full or Part Time – Bury

Our lovely Bury practice has an exciting opportunity for an additional Veterinary Surgeon to join their expanding team for their future expansion.

Bury Vets4Pets is a standalone practice on the South side of Bury town with great transport links into Manchester City Centre to the South. The practice has been open since 2004 and we have built great relationships with our clients from the local area. We are looking to expand our team in preparation for the full refurbishment and extension that we are undertaking soon in our surgery, which will mean you working in a new start of the art practice.

As a high percentage of our clients are insured, we do enjoy a good mix of medical and surgical cases. This is backed up by the 2 certificate holders that we have in the team, along with visiting specialists to keep cases in house. In terms of equipment, we do have a decent ultrasound machine and endoscope, plus we will likely be starting to offer laproscopic surgery in the coming months, therefore we have plenty of variety in our cases.

The team, made up of 4 full time and 4 part time Vets, plus 2 long term locums, 6 Nurses, 2 SVN’s, 2 Veterinary Care Assistant and a reception team led by our Practice Manager. As a team we are passionate about providing the highest standards of care for clients and their pets.

We are ideally looking for a full-time vet to join the team, however we are open to part time hours and will work around commitments outside of work. Due to the 1 in 5 weekend requirement (Saturday only) we are ideally looking for an experienced vet to join the team, however we will consider a confident new grad as we do have the support structure in place within the team.

As you would expect from the market leader in small animal veterinary care, we are pleased to be able to offer in return:
•    Competitive salary
•    Generous CPD and support through the study towards a Certificate
•    1 in 5 weekends
•    Enhanced annual leave
•    Contributory pension scheme
•    Option of AXA private health care
•    Exclusive company and high street discounts

If you share our passion for delivering outstanding pet healthcare and great customer service and would like to join our Top 100 Best Companies team, then we would love to hear from you.
We are an Equal Opportunities Employer
