About us:
We’re a thriving 24 hour practice with a well-established team including 13 Vets, 17 RVNs, 7 SVNs and 12 Receptionist between 2 branches. Please click here to take a tour of our practice!

Our location offers free on-site parking as well as fantastic transport links into central London in just 25 minutes and out to the Essex countryside within 20 minutes. 

What we’re looking for: 
You’ll have had previous experience in managing a team, be an effective communicator, with good organisational and time management skills. You enjoy building relationships with our clients and with the team and have a passion for developing and coaching our colleagues. Coming from a clinical background will be an advantage but is not essential

As our practice manager, you’ll ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the business and support our practice owners in achieving key business objectives. Your responsibilities will include overseeing daily operations to ensure seamless service delivery, upholding our ethos as the friendliest practice in the area, managing and implementing HR policies for a valued team, resolving challenges swiftly to maintain excellent client service, recruiting, training, and developing team members, and managing your own schedule to achieve operational goals.

Overall, you’ll have a good experience of veterinary industry, excellent customer service and communication skills, be an effective team player, have a systematic approach when making decisions and be able to carry out the role effectively with planning and organisation. The ideal candidate will enjoy the variety provided by the clients and colleagues alike.

This role is ideally full time working 40 hours per week with no weekends, however we understand the importance of a healthy work/life balance and so invite you to come and talk to us whatever it is you’re looking for, we can be flexible and are happy to tailor your hours to suit your lifestyle! This can include a 4 day week and even some remote working

We have a very competitive salary range of £40,000 - £50,000 dependant on experience.

Key Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Practice Manager or Head Nurse in a Veterinary setting is essential.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, encourage, and manage the team effectively.
  • Proven team management experience.
  • Strong communication, organisational, and time-management skills.
  • A passion for coaching and developing colleagues.
  • Dedication to building strong relationships with clients and the team.
